Another very important part of our organization is the Economic Development Incentive Fund. Contributions to the Incentive Fund are held until they would need to be used as “seed” capital for business development and expansion in the Lincoln County area. These private dollars have the potential to allow North Platte and Lincoln County to remain competitive against other communities when recruiting new businesses. New companies must, of course, meet certain criteria such as wage requirements, number of employees and total amount of investment in the community before funds would be awarded.
