When the opportunity to come back home to North Platte after law school
presented itself, my wife and I had some initial hesitations with returning
to our hometown. We had spent most of the past ten years living in Lincoln
and enjoyed our time there. During our decision making process we had many
conversations with community leaders and business people about North Platte
and the enthusiasm those individuals shared about our community, the
opportunity to get involved in the community, and employment opportunities
weighed heavily upon our decision to return home.
Having been back home for the past five years and serving on the
Chamber/Devco Board for the past three, I share in the enthusiasm for our
community. I have found that North Platte is a place where opportunities
exist to make an immediate difference in the business community, local
government, and the community at large, as well as to help shape the future
of our town. I am excited about the direction our community is headed and
being involved in the process of helping to grow North Platte.
